Won't the lens be white? According to the leaked manual at http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/4113649011.pdf
the tripod collar indices are black, so we should expect the lens to be white. This mock-up might be a different lens altogether.

Furthermore, the 196 mm is the maximum length of the lens, not minimum, and with the proportions, the lens definitely extends when zooming (not that it wasn't expected, too), but not when it's focusing (also expected -- the focusing ring is in the rear of the lens, so the focusing helicoids must be there as well, so there is no possibility to extend this lens when focusing).

Weather sealing -- likely none. The manual doesn't mention this at all

We'll see the color of the lens when it's released.

When the lens extends, then 196 mm is indeed the minimum length. That's what's always specified in lens manuals. The maximum length will be longer when the lens extends, and that value is typically not specified.
