Resurrection Fern
Resurrection Fern (Polypodium polypodioides), Mahogany Hammock, Everglades NP, Florida
This fern species dries out almost completely during droughts, shriveling and appearing dead. But as soon as rain returns, the leafs turn green again, as if the fern has resurrected from the dead.
